Welcome to Green Iguana

At Green Iguana, our goal is to create beautiful, sustainable, ecological landscapes, which function in harmony with the natural surroundings. We seek to design, build and manage the ideal landscape for our clients. From created wetlands and dams which appear completely natural, to native gardens and re-created bushlands that provide stunning wildflower displays and attract plentiful native birds, and edible organic gardens and orchards that provide bountiful fresh harvests, or exotic gardens of succulents or lush tropicals to create the perfect environment for any space.

Our philosophy is based on ecological landscaping. Which means that we assess all of the environmental and ecological factors present, including soils, hydrology, topography, aspect, exposure, and existing biota to create landscapes that will work in harmony with the existing environment at each site, with minimal long-term maintenance. While our philosophy is ecological, we don’t exclusively work organically, however we try to minimize the use of environmentally harmful chemicals and processes, and use organic and environmentally sustainable alternatives wherever possible.

We create and manage a large variety of landscapes, from beautiful and functional small residential havens, all the way up to multi-hectare native landscape restoration for large-scale subdivisions. We are experienced and can assist you. Please contact us to discuss your needs.

What our clients say

Green Iguana successfully assisted the City of Busselton to design, obtain environmental approvals for, and implement the creation and rehabilitation of large conservation wetland areas within the City.

Green Iguana has a strong understanding of natural landscapes and function and is able to interpret and incorporate these into new project sites for good environmental outcomes. Green Iguana understands revegetation techniques that achieve successful plant establishment sooner.

Will Oldfield

Senior Natural Resource Management and Environment Officer, City of Busselton

We used Green Iguana to undertake large-scale river restoration works on our vineyard. From the initial design phase, through the environmental approvals process, and then implementing the works, everything was a breeze.

Green Iguana successfully restored a degraded and eroding area of the vineyard into a beautiful, native creek line and landscaped lawn area that is now used to host weddings and other events. We couldn’t be happier with the outcome!
